Review new FLIR ONE for Apple iPhone 6 and iOS devices. Ever wanted to own an infra red camera? Tired of using multiple accessories all the time? Weary of secret leaks and maintenance faults in your home? Then it’s time to add a little more class to your iPhone and utilize it for a two-pronged purpose. How, you would ask, would this happen exactly? The answer is: FLIR ONE (43500020200).
Hitting the markets with a bombshell of fame and skill, FLIR ONE next GEN brings the future right to your Apple devices. Weighing only 8 ounces (making it one of the most lightweight accessories), the product is perhaps among the pioneers of its kind. It attaches to your iPhone through the slot for the charger, does not add any hefty burdens on the phone, and voila!
A second later your phone is no longer an iPhone or iPad but a high quality, high resolution and highly efficient thermal camera, with graphics and results to die for. The uses of the infrared camera are more than simple interest in watching the screen of your phone go haywire. Detection of leaks in pipes and electric wire defects can be owed to the heat produced at those points, allowing the camera to pick up those sites. If you are in the business of the maintenance of the buildings, or have recently had a house constructed, or shifted in a new house, you would know the struggles involved. Apple Device Compatibility: iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5, iPhone 5, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini, iPad Mini 3, iPad (4th Generation).

FLIR ONE accessory has been designed to look compatible with the design of the iPhone and iPad. Thus, you do not see any embarrassing gargantuan and ghastly framework; rather, the device is only a small rectangle, about 5 inches long and 4 inches wide, and sits comfortably beneath your phone. The battery runs for 2 solid hours, which should be more than enough to roam around the building concerned.

While the reviews of the product are practically teeming with praises, a few issues have been brought to notice by some of the customers, who, fortunately enough, have had some technical experience with the infra red cameras. For instance, a simple technical problem that has arisen is the failure of the normal iPhone photo clicking mechanism once the device is attached to it.
This means that for thermal images, one has to use the buttons present on the device. What is the disadvantage? Samsung users would simply flick their hair and laugh, but the Apple customers are certainly not used to handling devices that are larger than their regular phones, causing a little clumsiness. This can, however, be overcome with practice. A more serious issue is the “inadequate” parallax compensation. This may cause the edges of the picture shot to be blurred out a little.
Avalaible for Apple and Android devices
Keeping in mind the reviews and the claims of the company, it can be safely concluded that the product deserves a definite score of 4 stars, if not a total 5. Leaving out the dimension of a single star in this rating is the reflection of the hope that the company in question would look upon the criticism in the reviews as fields to work upon. Having said this, it must also be mentioned that most of the users found no fault with the product. Therefore, the FLIR company has delivered yet another masterpiece, and we can expect improved and better versions of the same concept on its way.
